When you live in a place like Miami, where the weather is usually spectacular, it’s hard to imagine that anyone could feel anything but happy. When you live in a sunny place that’s consistently warm, it’s very easy to take things for granted. We forget about the countless sick people in hospitals, or elderly people who live in nursing homes and don’t have the freedom to enjoy the beautiful things in life. That’s why the staff at Trias Flowers is proud and excited to be participating in the 16th annual Make Someone Smile® Week Campaign – which was started by Teleflora. This crusade to spread a bit of happiness to those in need takes place every year during the week of July 19th through July 25th.
The idea behind this event is to encourage our customers to think of their aging parents, grandparents, or anyone who may be homebound, down on their luck, or in need of something to cheer them up. You don’t have to know someone to make a difference in his or her life for a day.
We’ve come up with some flower arrangements that we feel confident are sure to cheer anyone up. We hope that our suggestions will inspire you to send someone some good cheer, or deliver it to them personally during this important charity event for the floral industry.
Be Happy Bouquet
The signature arrangement for a Make Someone Smile® Week is Teleflora’s Be Happy Bouquet. We fill Teleflora’s Be Happy® Mug with yellow roses and daisies; a combination doesn’t just ooze happiness: we think it’s sure to cheer anyone who receives it up, making them smile at the sight of the mug.
Sunflower Sensation
Sunflower Sensation is another delightful arrangement that is sure to produce smiles. We think that sunflowers are such happy flowers, everyone smiles when they see them. We create a unique and sophisticated arrangement by combining red Hypericum berries, Galax leaves, and sunflowers in a square cube vase.
Lovely Orchids
When you want to cheer someone up with elegance and sophistication, consider our Lovely Orchids arrangement. We line a clear glass cube vase with leaves to give the arrangement a dramatic look. We combine white Cymbidium orchids with tiny pink wax flowers. The result is an arrangement that is full of tropical exoticism and luxury. The use of white flowers in this gorgeous arrangement proves that you can use any color flowers to make someone smile. While people typically associate smiles with the color yellow, flowers in general tend to make people smile – because they’re beautiful and special.
