Veterans Day Flowers

veterans dayUnlike Memorial Day, which commemorates veterans who lost their lives in service, the November 11 observance of Veterans Day honors all the men and women who have ever served in the U.S. Armed Forces. This U.S. federal holiday is celebrated on the same day as Remembrance Day and Armistice Day in Europe, which take place on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11, 1918.)

Military service is such an ingrained part of American life that all of us have a veteran in our life – this is the day to tell them how much you appreciate their service and bravery.

Patriotic bouquets are a tasteful way to recognize your veteran, whether a Soldier, Airman, Sailor or Marine. America the Beautiful is a stunning tribute to our national pride. This arrangement of red roses, white hydrangea and lilies, and blue delphinium is showcased in a red vase with a blue ribbon and will make a striking statement of American history.

For a more meaningful gift, you can look to the significance behind certain green plants that are appropriate to send to men or women. For instance, bamboo traditionally conveys good luck, but also stands for great strength and loyalty; while a palm plant represents victory and success. Both of these plants look wonderful in any home or office, and will be a lasting reminder of the respect you have for your veterans.
